Gearbox (DSG / Automatic) Remap
Gearbox software (TCU) defines shift timing, clutch pressure and torque limits. When engine torque targets rise, the gearbox limits need to be matched.
What can be adjusted?
Shift speed and timing, clutch pressure, torque limits and behaviour in sport/manual mode can be adjusted depending on the gearbox type. The scope varies by gearbox family.
Together with the engine remap
If engine torque targets are raised while gearbox limits stay stock, slip or protection mode may occur. Ordering together with a Stage file is therefore common.
How does it work?

- Download the file from your panel and request a revision if needed.

- No; support depends on the gearbox family and software version. It is checked when you order.
- Does gearbox tuning increase mechanical strength?
- No. Software changes behaviour and limits only; the strength of mechanical parts is unchanged.
